Gifted Medicine Woman and Co-Facilitator
Taylor brings the perspective of someone who grew up within prolonged family disconnection and emotional rupture, and who has spent years engaged in deep ceremonial and integrative healing work.
Her path includes working closely with Dorcy to unwind trauma patterns, reclaim agency, and translate insight into embodied, day‑to‑day life. This lived experience allows her to attune deeply to participants who are navigating grief, confusion, or identity disruption rooted in family dynamics.
Taylor’s presence in the container reflects grounded empathy, nervous‑system awareness, and calm attunement. Her role is centered on participant care, emotional regulation, and integration support before, during, and after ceremony.
Intuitive Shaman, Modern Day Medicine Woman/Head Facilitator
Dorcy is the founder of the Church of Soul Illumination and the lead facilitator of this work. For over a decade, her professional focus has been on trauma, identity repair, family systems, and high-conflict relational healing, supporting parents, adult children, and professionals navigating profound family rupture and recovery.
Her work bridges structured psychological insight, nervous-system awareness, and ceremonial practice. Dorcy is known for her emphasis on preparation, containment, and long-term integration rather than peak experiences or spiritual bypassing. She does not approach ceremony as an isolated intervention, but as part of a broader healing arc that requires responsibility, maturity, and real-world application.
Dorcy’s facilitation style is clear, grounded, and relationally attuned. She holds firm boundaries, prioritizes participant safety, and centers agency and consent at every stage of the process. This work is an extension of her long-standing commitment to helping individuals repair internal and relational fractures, rather than escape them.
Gifted Medicine Man and Co-Facilitator
Rob brings lived experience, steadiness, and relational maturity to the ceremonial container. He was raised in a family system marked by deep dysfunction and chronic relational rupture, and later found himself navigating profound breakdowns in his own family relationships.
Through years of intentional healing work, Rob restored trust and connection with his children and undertook the deeper, often overlooked work of repairing the co‑parenting relationship itself. In the final chapter of his former partner’s life, he showed up with presence, compassion, and responsibility, supporting both her and their children with care and integrity as she transitioned.
Rob’s facilitation is grounded, non-performative, and relationally attuned. His role centers on safety, containment, and modeling what repaired attachment, accountability, and emotional presence look like in real life - not theory.Every accommodation includes the identical Sacred Return experience. The only difference is where you rest. Click through the galleries to experience the beauty of these unique spaces.

Your Common Questions… Answered
Yes – when done properly. Safety is our highest priority. Every applicant goes through medical screening. Certain medications and conditions are contraindicated, and we take this seriously. Our facilitators are experienced in trauma-informed care, and we have medical support available. The preparation protocol exists specifically to ensure you’re ready. That said, plant medicine is powerful. We don’t take this lightly, and neither should you.
We work with psilocybin in traditional ceremony. This is a sacred practice with thousands of years of history. We approach it with deep reverence, proper preparation, and thorough integration.
Certain medications, particularly SSRIs, MAOIs, and some others, are contraindicated with plant medicine and require a careful tapering process under medical supervision. This must be done BEFORE the retreat and in consultation with your prescribing physician. We’ll discuss this during your application call. In some cases, it may mean this particular retreat isn’t the right timing. Your safety comes first.
Good. That means you’re taking this seriously. Fear is normal. It’s actually a sign that you know this is real, not a spa weekend. The fear usually isn’t about the medicine itself; it’s about what you might have to feel. And that’s exactly why you’re coming. You’ve been avoiding those feelings your whole life. This is where you finally face them – held, supported, and safe.
Plant medicine ceremonies are conducted legally in Costa Rica within our spiritual and ceremonial context. All activities comply with local regulations.
Integration is everything. You’ll receive the Integration Vault (90 days of resources), two live integration calls with Dorcy and your cohort, and 6 months of our Sovereign Soul Collective membership. You won’t be abandoned after your transformation. We’ll be with you as you anchor it into your daily life.
If you’re asking this question, you’re probably ready. The people who aren’t ready don’t even consider applying. They scroll past. The fact that you’re still reading means something in you knows this is your time. Trust that.
Deposits are non-refundable but are transferable to a future retreat within 12 months. Full payment refunds (minus deposit) are available until 60 days before the retreat. Within 60 days, no refunds are available, but you may transfer your spot to another participant.
